Alecia Rossano
Alecia Rossano is a classically trained figurative sculptor from Seattle. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Scripps College and her Master of Fine Arts from the graduate school of the New York Academy of Art. She has also studied in Florence, Italy, which inspired her love of Renaissance and Baroque art.
A professor at the DigiPen Institute of Technology, she led the development of their MFA in digital art and directed that program from 2012 – 2015.
Alecia Rossano has participated in many exhibitions in the United State. Along AvA Gallery, she participated in World Art Dubai March 2021, and in June 2022 “Salon d’Art Contemporain” Art3F Monte-Carlo.
The Artist in most of her creations represents human figures, usually avoiding ornaments and stripped of all the superfluous that surrounds us.
The moods represented depict both joyful and reflective moments but are never aggressive or negative and in general, the artist’s works are surrounded by an “aura of serenity”.
Her artworks remind classical sculptures, where the human body is considered the most perfect creature in the World
Currently, she teaches Sculpture and Figure Drawing at DigiPen College and lives in Seattle,USA.
